Update before my brain forgets

Today we went to see your auntie Sena - she's never home so we went to a park.

You met a little girl named Michelle - she was 6 years old and you are 2 years in four months.

About You

You're in a new stage you like to do things yourself. You say "I'll do it" and you do the best you can - but if things are difficult you yell for mom or dad to help.

Today you sat down at the piano and said "sing daddy" So I sang a silly song and you played the piano.

Last week you helped me build the Chinnook out back. I put you on my lap and started the screw for you and you finished it up. So at 2 years old you can use a drill and help your daddy build a Chinook.

I need to write more down as it happens so I don't forget.

One last thing before I save this post. We went to Disneyland last week. I'm sure you can see the pictures. I'll write a new post and add details.

Daddies Little Helper

Today you helped me fix Mama's desk. I held the drill and you pulled the trigger and in went the screw. You were so happy to help me you kept stopping to hug me and say "I lovvveee".

We went outside and I asked you to get a pen so I could mark the holes on the metal. You ran inside the house brought back a marker. You're only 2 but you seem like you know what you're doing when it comes to just about everything.

How I Know Life Is Good

Tonight your daddy went out with a co-worker. You're supposed to go to sleep at 8:30pm - You stayed awake until your daddy came home just a little after 11pm. Mama says you wouldn't sleep. When I got home you were getting your diaper changed and had wet your clothes. We changed your diaper and I laid down on the bed. You laid next to me for a moment and then did something you never do. You crawled on top of my chest and went to sleep. I laid there in rubbed your back and just enjoyed the moment my 1 year old son shared with me.

That's how I know life is good with you in it.
